We found out on Tuesday that we are expecting twins in April. Oh boy! I will sit down and tell you the story at a latter date, since it is 11 pm and I really need the extra sleep.
I thought I would go ahead and list some reactions and questions that I have had up to this point, less than a week. Some are funny, some are sweet, and some could be insulting if I let them.
"Are you serious?"-Jon (only one I'll name) ;D
"WHAT!!!!!!" -both moms (okay, done naming now)
stammering and stuttering, but not really saying anything
"Oh my..."
"Excuse me?!" followed with huge congratulations.
"I'm so excited!"
"You might want to stop now..."
"I'm sorry..."
collective gasp when we announced it at church
"Wow." -Seth, when we told him mommy had two babies in her tummy. (When asked later, he tried to tell me I had four babies in my tummy. NO, I do not! We quickly corrected that mistake! :D)
In all honesty, even the ones that should have been offensive, were not. Mostly because I know and love the ones that said them, but also because I was thinking the same thing that day!
I will post more responses later, as I'm sure I'll get plenty when I look like I'm ready to pop and only 5 months along!
